Santa with the Piano
From the snow-covered
woodlands I have come here To bring you glad tidings and good Christmas
cheer.
On the tips of the
tree-tops so way up high, I saw the lights sparkling as if from the
sky.
And lo! from the gates of
heaven above The Christ-Child peered down with kindness and love. And as
the white snowflakes continued to fall, I heard through the stillness
the Christ-Child’s call: Knecht Ruprecht, said He, You must not tarry!
To well-behaved children your presents no carry! The lights on the trees
are burning bright For all to behold. — What a beautiful sight! Now is
the eve of the Christ-Child’s Birth Merry Christmas to all — and
Peace on Earth!
And our Merry Little Santa
seated at the piano now joins along in the celebration and plays the
tune: We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. |
